A downloadable app for Windows and Android

About

The following application is a VR technological demo, where you can shoot stuff with 18th and 19th century firearms! Aside from testing your marksmanship, you’ll get to experience the elaborate and tedious reloading procedures of the flintlock muzzleloaders. Worry not though; the gun interactions have been designed to be very forgiving and intuitive. As long as you know the right steps, you’ll have no problems reloading and using them!

Currently there are three guns: a flintlock pistol, brown bess musket, and a baker rifle. There are two ways of reloading: via paper cartridges, and by loading everything manually (powder, wads, and balls).

Note

Despite the title, this isn’t really a ”game”, but rather an experimental demo. It’s goal was twofold: to teach myself how to make a VR game, and to have a solid entry in my portfolio (for the purpose of finding an internship).

Although it met it’s goals, it was never really meant to be shared anywhere thereafter. I did however, publish a video showcasing the app. By popular demand – and by that I mean 2 or 3 people – I’ve decided to compile the public source code to both .exe and .apk formats, so that people can easily download and test the app themselves!

For the time being there are no plans of further development, however it might be subject to change in the future.
